the Teachers

Brad
Fortier has been teaching for the Brody Theater since 1998. He
has represented the Brody at numerous festivals across the U.S.,
Canada, and Europe. Among the artists he has had the opportunity
to work with are Bob Dassie, Jeff Griggs, Nick Johne, Lisa Kron,
Rachel Rosenthal, Randy Dixon, and Stephen Nachmanovich. Brad is
also finishing his M.A. in the anthropology of improvisational theater
at Portland State University. He has been an integral part of curriculum
development and pedagogical training for the Mentor Development
and Training program since 2003 for PSU's University Studies department.

Tom
Johnson
is artistic director and founder of the Brody Theater. Tom has taught
and directed improvisers in five countries. He began his improv
career in Chicago with Improv Olympic. Among the artists he has
had the oportunity to work with are Del Close, Paul Sills, Avery
Schrieber, Lisa Kron, Rachel Rosenthal, Keith Johnstone, Randy Dixon,
Enrique Pardo, Ruth Zaporah, Stephen Nachmanovich, and Shishir Kurup.

Kerry
Leek is a charter member of the Brody Company, and has appeared
in every show from the 1996 Damn Dirty Apes through 2008's
Monologic--in total over 600 performances in more than 35
different shows, as well as appearances at improv festivals in Kansas
City, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria BC, Amsterdam, and
Slovenia. In 2006 she created and directed "An Unlikely Story"
at the Brody. Kerry is in her second year as a teacher with the
