intervening week of the festival was dedicated to Scrapheap, a unique ensemble assembled from festival participants. Scrapheap began working together in an unrehearsed performance on Sunday, October 17, and then plunged into a week of full-day rehearsals with guest directors Bob Dassie of Chicagos Improv Olympic, Barbara Scott of Bay Area TheatreSports, and The Brody's Artistic Director, Tom Johnson. The experiment culminated in a headlining performance on Saturday, October 23, 1999.
The
Third Annual Portland Improvised Theater Festival offered something for everyone interested in improvisation.
